Special Crowd Action
We’re recruiting 50 volunteers to each hold a single-letter sign for a powerful visual moment!
There will be a quick practice on-site before the BIG EVENT:
• Raise signs for a dramatic overhead drone shot
• Then flip them to reveal a second message
The March (with Drumline!)
We’ll head to the bridge via two routes (sidewalks will be chalked):
Team Red (longer route): South on Front Street → left on N Broadway → south walkway of the bridge
Team Blue (shorter route): Willems → Broadway → roundabout → north walkway of the bridge
Prefer a shorter walk? Join the end of Team Blue.
On the Bridge
Once the bridge is filled:
• Whistle #1: 50 letter-holders raise black-letter signs (all others stay down)
• Whistle #2: Signs flip to reveal the navy-letter message We’ll spend about 20 minutes on the bridge, then return to the park.
This is an out-and-back route only—no street crossings or loops—so everyone can choose the distance that works best for them.
Back at the Park
We’ll roll out the giant “We the People” banners for everyone to sign. We are concluding today’s event with an “In Memorium” for Preble’s Alex Pretti. Please listen to the song at the link below – We’d love to have you join in singing the group parts from “Hey-Oh! We Won’t Be Silent”:

One of the songs the crowd will sing is something designed to encourage community members to join us in protest! We’d like you to listen now, so it will be easy to sing on Saturday: You can see a video of the song here: https://www.facebook.com/
